About the site

Ground Rules:

    Only really 2:
  1. Items about Ibizans please. An occasional mention of another breed of dog is acceptable within the content of an Ibby article is fine. Anything more, send it to the breed society concerned.
  2. No Nastiness: Yes, I know things can get a little heated, but please don't bring it here. I am the arbiter of what goes on this site, and am just as likely to crop my wife's submissions if they get a little inappropriate as anyone else's.

Anything else Ibizan-related is fine: We welcome personal reports from shows, including complete results if possible. We go to a lot of shows particularly in the South and South-West of Britain, so reports from the North and East will be particularly appreciated. If you have prior knowledge that a particular show is putting on breed classes for Ibizan Hounds, we want to know. If you are on the committee of a show and want to publicise breed classes, you will probably get a better entry.

Nick Carter- He hates dog shows. Picture:Amanda Carter I'm Nick Carter, Veterinary Surgeon, dog show widower, and occasional website designer and writer. I live with my wife Mandy in the South West of England. My wife had a long held ambition to own and show Ibizan hounds and Sloughis, and has now been doing just that for the last 4 years. This site came into being in the Summer of 2004. Mandy writes breed notes for a couple of British All-breed sites, but wanted somewhere just for Ibizans. As she can't write HTML, and I can, she applied cajolery, emotional blackmail and finally a leather bullwhip to encourage me to write this site.
The upside of her inability to write code and work the FTP program is that I get to decide what goes on here. I am thoroughly impartial, which my wife is not going to like (heh heh heh).

Enjoy the site!
